QSL side Al Arabi will be without defender Mohammed Salem for five weeks following surgery on an injured foot.

The player underwent surgery yesterday at ASPETAR hospital and was visited by team mates and staff to check on his condition. Salem will now be away from first team action for at least five weeks as he begins rehabilitation on the injury.

In other news, the Al Arabi squad training on Monday evening ahead of their third round QSL match against Al Kharitiyat. Head coach Gerardo Pelusso oversaw the session, and will now be preparing the side  to go into the match in peak physical condition.

Al Arabi is currently seventh in the QSL standings after enjoying a win and a defeat in their opening two QSL matches.
