QSL club Al Sailiya has announced it will convene a training camp from the 12th of January to prepare for the remainder of the QSL season. The team has shelved plans for a training camp in Abu Dhabi, opting to focus their preparations in Doha.

The Peregrines have wasted no time in the January transfer window so far securing the services of promising Al Rayyan midfielder Hamad Al-Obeidi on loan for the rest of the season.

The QSL is taking a three week break for the AFC U23 Championships, which is taking place in Doha. The break in competition is an ideal time for Sailiya to improve their fitness ahead of a challenging second half of the season.

Al Sailiya are currently in 7th place in the QSL standings, and will face bottom club Meisameer when the QSL resumes on the 27th of January.
