Al Gharafa Head Coach Pericles Chamusca
“We had time at the beginning of the season to prepare for every game. But now we have had 3-4 games in a short period. We tried to do our best in order to win the game against Lekhwiya. After that game we had one week to prepare for the Salal game. We did our best to win and now we are preparing our team to play against Sadd. They are a big team with lots of quality, especially in offence. Because they are an attacking team it will be an open game with lots of spaces. I expect a good game from my players and am looking for a victory.”

Q: Do you have pressure?
“Well the pressure is from my wife who is back in Brazil now. When she was here we won three games mind you.”

“When I talk to my players, I tell them that if you don't play with pressure then success will elude you. If you don't have pressure that means you haven't achieved anything. And when you play for a team like Gharafa, then you have to feel the pressure.”

“It's normal when a player is under pressure to score he cannot score quickly but we hope that it will be different against Sadd. To concede goals doesn't mean that you have a bad defence.”

Al Sadd Head Coach Hussein Ammota
“All games are important and difficult for us. From the beginning of this week, we have missed six players who have been away for Olympic National Team duty.”

“We we go ahead and play the game with all those players missing but our chances of winning will be much less.”

“In Sadd we don't have a lot of problems. We have possession, we complete our passes. We are technically solid. In the last game we had a draw against Arabi. But if you see the statistics, we were better than them. We had 65 percent possession, 33 crosses and so on. That showed that we were controlling the game. But our problem is the lost opportunities to score and some mistakes in defence.”

Winger Hassan Al-Haydous
“The Gharafa game is difficult like our coach said. The performance that we showed against Arabi wasn't that good so we want to do better in this game.  We didn't convert our opportunities to score. Now we have to be more efficient and stronger in front of the goal.”
