Mesaimeer Head Coach Rodion Gačanin
We have had two weeks to prepare for this match, we played one friendly. We were missing a few players during this break. The last two matches we played well but didn't take points. This will be a difficult match for us. We are still with zero points. But we have the hope that we can do well and move up in the table.
Salal are a quality team. They are aiming for a top-4 finish this season. The results for them weren't as expected. And I believe that's the same for us. When we played the friendly against Salal, I felt that we were equally matched, a 50-50 scenario. But a lot of things will depend on how we finish our moves. That will be the key difference.
We have some new players but it's difficult for them to feature in this match. They are not up to the required physical levels.
We are not far away from other teams. In our last three matches, we played well. We can talk about luck but I don't believe in luck. Luck is 50-50 at the end of the season. I hope that in this match we convert our chances and get our first win.
Umm Salal Head Coach Uygun Bülent
We are playing Mesaimeer who haven't won any game. So they will be trying really hard to get their first win. Since they are coming from the second division, they will be eager to do well. I wish them success in this. As for our team, we hope that we will be ready.
Jeremy Ali Adiere is injured but we have a lot of players to replace him.
Mesaimeer are a very good team. They are organised in defence and they know how to close down gaps. So the game will be difficult.
For us the break was negative because we didn't have the whole group. But in a way it was also positive because it helped some players recover from their injuries. We are looking to do well after the break.
