Fifth placed Umm Salal will be looking to maintain their undefeated streak in the league when they take on Al Arabi on Friday evening. Orange Fortress boss Mahmoud Jaber spoke with the local media ahead of the match. 

Jaber opened up the press conference with a word on Al Arabi. “We have to end the league with a positive result, we are looking to maintain our good form in the league. Our aim from this game is to end the league in sixth position. A positive result will set us up well for the Emir cup.” 

“The game will be played without any pressure for both sides, and i expecting a good game. Despite Al Arabi doing badly in the league, they are still a dangerous side especially in attack” added the Egyptian coach. 

Jaber ended the press conference talking up the fighting qualities of his side.“I am aiming to get the very most out of my players, and I feel we have done well recently. The team is really fighting to win games, and that has been the difference maker for us and our form lately. We have had a good campaign this season.”

As for Al Arabi, they will be looking to put behind them a turbulent season on and off the pitch. Dream Team coach Osvaldo Olivera spoke with the local media ahead of the game. 

Olivera opened his press conference talking up his Friday evening opponents. “Now that we are safe, we will look to do well in the Emir Cup. We are playing an Umm Salal side who are one of the form teams in the league, and we have to be ready for the threat they posses they have done well in the league and caused problems for top sides in Qatar.”

“We could see some improvement in the team when we played Al Rayyan, however our form has been up and down game by game. Now we need to keep with a positive mentality into the final games of the season” noted the Brazilian coach when asked about Arabi’s performance in the derby against Al Rayyan. 

Osvaldo ended the press conference vowing to battle to the end. “It has been a difficult campaign for the players and myself, we have had to deal with a unique situation, we have some games to go and we will fight to the end for Al Arabi.”
