Second place Al Sadd need a victory against Al Sailiya to take the QSL championship race to the final round of the season. Wolves boss Jesaldo Ferreira spoke with the media ahead of the must win game for his side.
Ferriera opened up the press conference suggesting that the Sailiya match could be decisive for his side. “We still have two matches to play, we will not give up and fight till the last minute for the title. We have two tough games coming up. Now we are focusing against Al Sailiya who are a strong team, the gap between games is short, and this could be a decisive game in our season.”
“The players believe in what we are trying to achieve, they believe that we can improve. We are all sharing in this goal of lifting the title for Al Sadd” added the Portuguese coach when asked about the mood in the Al Sadd camp going into the game.
Ferriera ended the press conference, calling for the Al Sadd fans to will on the side in the final two games of the season.“I like to play in the stadium full of fans. The fans made a impact in the game against Al Rayyan. We will be needing the fans to see the team in the last games and the cup, because the club deserves to be cheered based on how we are playing at the moment.”
Al Sailiya will be aiming to upset the odds when they take on Al Sadd on Thursday evening. Peregrines boss Sami Trabelsi spoke with the local media ahead of the match.
Trabelsi opened up the press conference noting that his side is up for the challenge of facing a side chasing the QSL title. “It’s a special game when you play Sadd, they have had a exceptional season. We need to be disciplined when we play Al Sadd, and we will have to step up collectively when we play one of the best sides in Qatar. I am not worried that my side will not preform when we take on the top sides in the league, the motivation is there.”
“We are not afraid of Al Sadd, this match is different compared to last week against Muaither, where we had to concentrate. Right now I believe my squad are in the best position to upset Al Sadd.” added Trabelsi when asked if Al Sailiya can shock Al Sadd.
Trabelsi ended his press conference insisting that his side are only focusing on their postion in the QSL standings. “We are not looking at how this can effect Al Sadd and Lekhwiya, we must focus on our position. Al Sailiya is one of six or seven sides in danger of taking part in the relegation play-off against Qatar SC.”
