Al Gharafa take on El Jaish in a fifth against fourth battle in the 25th round of the QSL season. Gharafa caretaker boss Habib Sidiq spoke with the local media ahead of the game. 

Opening up the press conference Sidiq reflected on his sides 2-0 defeat to Umm Salal. “The result was tough to take we played well but lost on the break. However we must learn from our mistakes and take this into our game against El Jaish.” 

“El Jaish are hurting after the defeat to Lekhwiya, they will be wanting to prove a point we will have to be ready for this” added the Tunisian coach. 

Sidiq ended his press conference calling for concentration from his side. “We will try to find our desire against El Jaish. We certainly didnt show this against Umm Salal and we will have to be at our best to get another win against El Jaish this season. We will have to be at 100% focused for this important match.”

El Jaish will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Lekhwiya with a moral boosting win over Al Gharafa. French coach Sabri Lamouchi spoke to the local media ahead of the game. 

Lamouchi opened up the press conference admitting that it’s been tough preparing his side. “We have had difficult time preparing for this match after a big loss. We have to finish the season on a high and we have tough games ahead against Al Sadd in the league and the semi-final of the Qatar Cup. The important thing is to get over the defeat.”

“I am focusing on my team, especially after this bad performance we have to play as a team and it’s not easy but we must find a solution” added the French coach when asked about El Jaish’s lack of league form. 

Lamouchi ended the press conference stressing that he will be with the side to the very end. “I want to fight to the end with El Jaish, and I have one year left with the club. We have had good moments in the Champions League and the league but slowly we have lost our form. In this moment it is hard to motivate the team, however I hope to be managing the side next season.”
