Muaither face El Jaish in round 23 of the QSL. The match will be played at the Al Gharafa stadium on Thursday.
Muaither head coach Philip Birol assured that his team’s upcoming match versus El Jaish in Round 23 of the QSL will be very tough. He said “I have spoken to the players about the strong elements in El Jaish, the most prominent of which are players like Rashidov, Rumarinho and Keita.”
Birol added in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game, “We have presented our best and played a good game versus Umm Salal in the previous Round 22 but we lost. I am so proud of the players and their performance including Nasser Al Nasr.”
He continued, “I give instructions to the players as I praise them but sometimes I get furious at them for the greater benefit of the team. We must focus now as there will be no window for compensation.”
On the other hand, El Jaish senior football team head coach Sabri Lamouchi indicated that the upcoming match against Muaither is very important for several reasons such as the fact that El Jaish didn’t win in two consecutive games since the start of 2017. He said that, they will build up on the previous win over Al Ahli in Round 22 and they will be facing a strong side despite their standing in the QSL.
The El Jaish head coach added, “We have to benefit from the good performance against Al Ahli in order to improve even more in the coming game. The team is ready and have no missing players. The self-confidence will help us focus on the field of play for a positive result.”

Lamouchi pointed out that his team will try to play for the best possible position in the league table which means to win all the remaining games.
