For us the preparation for this game was through the AFC Champions League match. After the match against Hilal we gave chances to our players to recover. They spent a lot of energy in that game. For me resting is the best way to prepare for this game. Now we will start the league and I believe my players are ready.
 
We are ready to defend our title now. The last few days we were focussing on the AFC Champions League tie. The league will be tougher this season. Many more professional players have come in. We have Rayyan coming back into the first division and everybody has seen that they have had a good start. Gharafa too will be a better team than last season so it will be a tough league. This will be a good thing for the national team. 

Qatar club did a good job last season by finishing fourth. They are a good team. They are also ambitious about this season. They had a bad start but they are still a good team with good players. They have a good coach too. We have to be serious about all the matches and all the opponents.

Our last result was a surprise. Nobody expected us to lose. But it's normal at the start of the season. Many teams don't have a good start. So we lost three important points which would have helped us get a good start. But we are not dwelling too much on it.
 
I expect that this match will be tough. As for the League, there are many teams with a lot of ambition this season. There are many teams with good players. 

We just didn't do well in the last game. We have to support the players in order to give them motivation so that they forget the negative aspects of the previous game. 

I am confident that the players will provide a good performance and will give everything to win this game. We will choose the right players for this match. Some players were injured in the pre-season. But this season we have better substitutes than we had last season. I will give chances to other players in the squad. Sometimes we can succeed to find the right substitutes and sometimes we don't. But I never expected that the combination I picked would not perform well in the first game.

Kharaitiyat played with more concentration and more fighting spirit. It was not a good result at the start of the league for us. Mentally it has affected the players but we will try and come back. Lekhwiya are a huge team. We will choose quality players and try to do well in this game.
