
Umm Salal take on Al Kharaitiytat in the QSL spotlight match for round 19. Orange Fortress boss Mahmoud Jaber spoke to the local media on Thursday morning ahead of the Saturday match at Qatar SC stadium.
The Egyptian coach opened up the press conference admitting that his team are looking for points. “Both sides are in need of points, Al Kharaitiyat are struggling for relegation and we have not been playing well so this will be a big test for us.”
“Al Kharaitiyat will be a tougher game than our last one against El Jaish. Al Kharaitiyat are in a tough situation and every match and point is important for them. I am sure that they will be fighting for every ball, just as we will be” added Jaber.
The Umm Salal boss ended the press conference with a word on his new professional signing “Fawzi Aaish is available to play for this game, but we will see in the next training session if he will be fit for the game. He is very versatile in attack, which is important for us in the moment. I hope that Fawzi will be able to make an impact for the side.”
Whilst for Al Ahmad Al-Ajlani his Al Kharaitiyat side are in the relegation zone and in desperate need of a win. Al-Ajlani revealed his thoughts on the match at the pre-match press conference on Thursday morning.
The Tunisian coach opened up the press press conference stressing that this game is a must win for his side. “We have lost three times in a row now, and we need to change this as we could get cut off from the safety zone.
Al Kharitiyat are currently in the relegation zone, just away from safety. Al-Ajlani noted that his side are not far away from winning again“Our defeats have been by small margins by a single goal, individual errors have cost us this season and I have told my players about this week. We have been playing well in games, but this has not been reflected in the results we get.”
Al-Ajlani ended his press conference stating that his side are trying to put aside the relegation issue. “The players have pressure on them, but we are doing are best to relieve this as a coach. At the end of the day I want my players to do their best and focus on the game not the issue of relegation.”
