Al Gharafa sports Club organizes a beautiful welcoming ceremony for retirement home seniors who were invited to attend the round 11 clash between Al Gharafa and Al Sadd on Sunday 30^th November. The initiative was organized in collaboration with Al Rumelia Hospital.

The Cheetahs sent an invitation to some senior from the local community who reside in the Rumelia hospital to attend the match against Al Sadd. In addition the match was a chance for the residents to get away from the hospital for a few hours and also to show them that the local community values them and that they are important.

During the match a special area was designated specifically for them close to the pitch so that they could follow the game with ease. 

Also a bouquet of flowers was given to them at the half time interval. The media manager of Gharafa- Mr. Taha Al Muhaza said that the club’s administration is committed to encouraging all types of people to participate in these sports events and that the initiative was successful and that the people from the hospital were very happy to attend the match.

Officials from Al Rumelia hospital also praised the initiative and sent a letter of appreciation to the football club.
