Current QSL leaders Al Rayyan have welcomed back Paraguayan midfielder Victor Caceres from injury ahead of their QSL clash with Umm Salal on Thursday evening at Al Gharafa stadium.

The Paraguayan international joined up with his team-mates, after missing out on three of his team’s matches in the league from an injury suffered in the Lion’s defeat to QSL rivals Al Sadd in round 10.

Al Rayyan are also readying returning star Fabio Cesar, who rejoined Rayyan from rivals Umm Salal in the January transfer window. The Qatari international is currently under an individual training regime to return to full fitness, and could be a doubt for the clash against his former side.

Jorge Fossati’s side also concluded preparations for the second half of the season with a 3-1 friendly victory over fellow QSL side Al Sailiya. The win was an ideal way to close the clubs internal training camp, which was convened at the Aspire Zone. The side will now be looking to maintain their 10 point lead in the QSL standings,  as they look to lift their first falcon shield since the 1994/1995 season.
