Qatar Sports Club central defender Rafik Halliche has undergone cruciate ligament knee surgery in Aspetar today.

The player is now in his room recuperating in the world renowned Aspetar hospital facilities. He is said to be recovering well and will check out within the next few hours. Rafik will now have to carry out the necessary rehabilitation under the supervision of Qatar Sports Club medical staff.

A number of Qatar Sports Club players and officials visited the player during his stay at the hospital. 

Halliche suffered the injury during the Emir Cup quarter final match against Al Shahania.

With regards to transfers Qatar Sports Club has also signed Moroccan defender Ismail Belmeallem from Al Wakrah.
