Qatar Stars League (QSL) champions Lekhwiya take on Al Wakrah in the first of two matches to be played at at the imposing Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

 
The QSL giants, are languishing outside the top 4, will need to pocket points to climb up from sixth position in the league table. Playing on home soil could certainly benefit coach Djamel Belmadi who guided Lekhwiya to back-to-back QSL titles not so long ago.
 
Al Wakrah, will be looking for a moral bosting result to kick-start their QSL campaign. So far Wakrah have struggled for wins this season, managing only three wins out of 10 matches.
 
In the other match at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium on Thursday, bottom-placed Mesaimeer will be looking for their second win of the season.Battling relegation, minnows Mesaimeer will find the going tough against Al Ahli who have been exhibiting indifferent form in the first three months of the QSL season.  Al Ahli are currently placed 8th on the points table, and only  have only three wins and an equal number of losses from their 10 games so far.

 
In the day's last clash on Thursday, hosts Al Khor will welcome Al Kharaitiyat knowing the visitors will be brimming with confidence after their impressive win over former champions Al Gharafa last week.

 
Al Khor are also coming into the tie on good form, having defeated Meisameer last week 2-1. Which was their second victory of the season.
