Introducing a new feature on QSL online, we have the team of the week from the previous round 21 of the season. All statistics provided for the team of the week have been provided by STATS, the official statistical partner of the QSL.

This week we have six players from Al Rayyan who picked up an impressive 5-0 win over struggling Meisameer, three other clubs in the form of Al Gharafa, Al Shahania and Al Sadd. First up in the team of the week is young Gharafa stopper Yusef Ali who picked up a clean sheet in his sides narrow 1-0 win over Al Khor.

Ali is joined with four defenders, who all represent Al Rayyan. At right back Lions youngster Musab Kheder gets the nod, whilst the Rayyan duo of Gonzalo Viera and Nathan Ribero make up central defense. The back four is completed by left back Abdulkareem Al Enazi.

In midfield Al Shahania’s two goal hero Rahim Zehevi gets a central midfield role and he is joined by Al Rayyan Captain Rodrigo Tabata who grabbed two goals and an assist last time out. Al Sadd captain Xavi Hernandez completes the midfield trio, thanks in part to his performance in the Wolves comprehensive win over Al Arabi 7-0.

Whilst finally, Al Sadd’s flying Qatari winger Hassan Haydoos gets a role on the right side of midfield. Haydoos is also joined by Al Rayyan attacker Sergio Garcia, with the former Spanish grabbing two goals in his sides 5-0 win over Muaither. Finally Al Sadd Algerian international Bagdad Bounjah leads the line, thanks to his five goal haul against Al Arabi.
