Tricky winger Kamal impressing for Al Sadd

Al Sadd winger Husam Kamal has enjoyed a bright start to his first full season with the Wolves. QSL online has decided to focus on the tricky right winger in our weekly QSL Talent feature, where we highlight the brightest young players plying their trade in the QSL this season. Kamal has had a part in all seven matches this term, either starting or coming off from the bench. It didn’t take long for the 20 year old winger to making an impact for his team, noting his first assist of the season in his sides 4-0 opening day win over Al Kharaitiyat.

The youngster is blessed with bags of pace, and has been tasked with getting to the byline and crossing the ball for his side. Kamal is certainly delivering for the Wolves averaging 4.1 crosses for his side per game, whilst also notching up 2.4 dribbles on average against opposition defenders.

It’s not only in attack that the 20 year old is of use for Al Sadd. Kamal has averaged 7.1 interceptions in his games this season, proving that the winger is an important asset in defense for Jesaldo Ferriera’s side.

Kamal has been keeping out experienced Sadd players out of the midfield since  the start of the season, and has been putting in constant performances that have caught the eye. In terms of passing, the winger has averaged 26.1 passes per game with 83.1% pass completion overall, certainly impressive in his first full season with the Wolves.

So with a mixture of defensive strength, blistering pace and an eye for a cross  Husam Kamal is certainly one to watch for Al Sadd over the course of the 2016/2017 season. Kamal will be hoping he can build on his early season form when Al Sadd take on Al Arabi in the QSL match of the week on Saturday evening.
