The opening match on Sunday will see El Jaish take on Al Gharafa at Al Sadd stadium. El Jaish have been on fine form this season, and will be expecting to beat Gharafa to maintain their place in the top 4.

Last time out Jaish defeated al Kharitiyat 3-0, and will be hoping for a influential midfield performance from Mohammad Mothnani . The soldiers are also boosted by recently qualifying for the AFC Champions League, after defeating Iranian side Neft Tehran 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

As for Gharafa, they are slowly building under new Coach Pedro Caixina and despite losing to Al Arabi, the Portuguese head coach believes his side are moving in the right direction. He will be hoping for a reaction from his new side, and will be looking to new signing Kristian Nemeth to build on his debut goal last time out.

Round 18 of the QSL season ends with a clash between relegation threatened Qatar SC and out of form Al Sadd on Sunday evening, K.O at 19:15. Qatar SC are in desperate need of wins and are currently six points away from safety. Last time they grabbed a draw in the 95^th minute against Umm Salal, and will be confident that they can pull off an upset against Al Sadd.

As for Al Sadd, they have yet to win in 2016. Jesaldo Ferriera’s side loss of form could mean they fall out of the Qatar cup places.  Whilst Sadd go into the tie off the back of a defeat to Al Jaizra of the UAE on penalties, ending their AFC Champions League dream. 

Sadd know that they will need a moral boosting result against The Kings on Sunday. They will be looking to the goals of Qatari International captain Hassan Al Haydoos to push them out of this domestic slump.
