Two QSL sides are busy preparing themselves ahead of their first AFC Champions League matches of the season which are set to take place this. Both Lekhwiya and Al Rayyan are set to take on opposition from the UAE in the form of Al Jazira and Al Wahda in home ties.

As for Lekhwiya who qualified for this seasons competition as Emir Cup winners, they have been drawn in group B alongside Iranian side Esteghlal Khuzestan, Al Jazira and Saudi Arabian side Al-Fateh.



Whilst Al Rayyan, who play in the Champions League after claiming the QSL crown last season will play in Group D. Michael Laudrup’s side have been drawn against Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Perseopilis of Iran and Al Wahda.

Both sides will be aiming for strong starts to their groups, with the sole aim to go as far as they can in the AFC Champions League.
