Al Gharafa finally got a win in their last match against Al Sailiya and will be hoping to use that confidence to get a win when they take on Al Kharaitiyat at Al Khor stadium on Saturday. As for Amar Osim's boys, they are on a two-match losing streak and will be keen to get a win under their belt after a mixed start to the season.

Al Kharaitiyat Head Coach Amar Osim
“Gharafa have had big expectations at the beginning of the season. They brought in new players and were looking to fight for the title. They are still expecting to finish in the top 4. Their recent string of results prompted them to even change the coach because they didn't want to be in the situation they were in. They have good players and on their good day they can compete with all teams in the league.”

“We know we have a tough game to play. They are a big club in Qatar. It's a big challenge for us and hopefully we will be able to repeat the performance of our last two games with better results for us.”

“Hassan Abdelfattah was injured when he went to Turkey for his national team's training camp. But he didn't train there because of an injury. They didn't treat him properly there. So he came back and wasn't completely fit. We have treated him here. He played 15 minutes of the last game and now he's fit.”

“We will get back most of the players who were missing in our previous game. That will help us in this match.”

“Last game Anwar Diba wasn't included in the squad because he didn't fit in tactically. He is an offensive minded player and we couldn't use him against a team like Sadd where we needed more cover in the midfield and defence.”

Al Gharafa Interim Head Coach Habib Sadeq
“This will be a tough game for us. Kharaitiyat are organised and compact. They have almost the same players from last season and that gives them stability. But we also believe in the quality of our players. And believe that if we play with total concentration, we can do well in this match. We have been preparing well for this game. During the game we will have to find solutions to be effective and that will help us achieve the victory and three important points.”

“We know that the game will not be easy but we have good players with experience, who know how to deal with this kind of situation and hopefully we will be ready and take three points. We are looking forward to getting another win and continue the run.”

“The secret behind our win in the last match was the team spirit and the ability of the players to work as a single unit. The players showed good motivation to take the three points and I must point out that it was an exceptional effort from them considering the circumstances. But we also made a few mistakes that we need to resolve. We are trying to retain the positive things that we did and work on the negative things also.”
