Nam picks up player of the month award for first time.

Lekhwiya midfielder Nam Tae Hee has been announced as the QSL player of the month for September/October. The South Korean international picked up the award at training on Tuesday evening.

Nam has been on fine goal scoring from in the opening rounds of the QSL season notching five goals and three assists from the first five games of the season. Whilst Nam’s superb all round play in his attacking midfield role helped him pick up the coveted award for the first time.

Nam lead the way with sprinting in the QSL in the opening rounds clocking up 231m of sprinting per game, considerably more than the average player in the league. Likewise, Nam’s accuracy from free-kicks has been crucial for the Red Knights this term. In total the South Korean has scored from three set pieces this season, including a stunning last minute strike to defeat Al Gharafa 5-4 back in round two.

Djamel Belmadi’s side has rose to the top of the QSL standings in the opening games, and has yet to taste defeat. The fact that Nam has received an average of 60 passes per game highlights his pivotal role in the side.

So with a combination of high intensity sprinting, an eye for an assist and three free-kick strikes means that Nam Tae Hee is the QSL player of the month for September & October.
