The final QSL match of the week will see Al Wakrah face relegation threatened Qatar SC in a must win match for Sebastaio Lazaroni’s side.

The Kings currently sit in 13th place in the QSL standings, one point behind Al Kharitiyat. Qatar SC must defeat Al Wakrah and ensure that Al Kharitiyat slip up against high-flying Umm Salal if they are to be in the QSL for the 2016/2017.

As for Al Wakrah, they are three points away from the relegation zone. However they would need a nine goal defeat and a Al Kharitiyat win, to see them drop to the Qatar Gas League. Mauricio Larriera’s side where careless in the 3-0 defeat to Al Kharitiyat and the Uruguayan head coach will be expecting a big reaction from his side.

Midfielder Mouhcine Moutouali is the key man for the Blue Waves in this tie. Wakrah will be needed the tricky Moroccan attacker to be at his brilliant best if they are to defeat Qatar SC and effectively relegate them to  the Qatar Gas League.

For Qatar SC, they come into the tie full of confidence after a resounding 3-1 victory over high-flying Al Gharafa. Importantly striker Danielo Carrando grabbed his first QSL goal in the win, and will be hoping to continue scoring against Al Wakrah

The Kings are now undefeated in four QSL games and will be looking for one final win to push them over the line. Tricky midfielder Emiliano Vecchio will be the sides creative thrust in this must win tie.

The winter signing from Colo-Colo in Chile has been the main man in his short time with the club. Deadly from a set-piece and crucially from the penalty spot, Qatar will need the diminutive Argentine midfielder on top-form if the Kings are to save themselves from relegation at the last possible opportunity.

It promises to be a fascinating tie when Al Wakrah takes on Qatar SC in a do-or-die relegation clash on Friday the 15th of April at Wakrah stadium, KO 18:15.
