We asked our fans on social media who scored the best goal in the month of October.  We gave them a choice of four goals and they chose Al Arabi striker Paulo Sérgio Betanin aka Paulinho’ s goal as goal of the month.


 
Here at QSL headquarters we have some criteria when choosing the video’s for the Goal of the Month feature.
 
They are as follows:
Importance of goal (did the goal directly affect the points on offer)
Beauty of the goal
Technical difficulty level (execution of the skill involved)
Was it a team goal?
Was it an individual goal?
Who was the goal scored against

The overall winner is then chosen based on votes, likes and overall engagement​ cast across all of the QSL's social media accounts. 
 
The Brazilian’s goal was important as Arabi were chasing the game and needed an equaliser in the first half. As Paulinho then went on to score Arabi’s second goal, his involvement meant that he directly affected the points on offer for the Dream Team.  
 
A thing of beauty
Technically a half volley can be a tricky skill to execute and  to keep on target, add to that teammate Rod Fanni sent the cross in with pace, so Paulinho did well to strike it so cleanly.
