Umm Salal will be taking on Qatar SC in the early 16:30 kick-off at Qatar SC. Head coach Sebastio Lazaroni will be hoping that new signing Danielo Carrando can help his side claw out of the QSL relegation zone.

Whilst Umm Salal will be hoping to get back to winning ways, following their 2-0 defeat by current QSL league leaders Al Rayyan. Head coach Ulent Bugen will be encouraged by his new January signings especially Uzbeki midfielder Sanzhar Tursunov, who looked lively against Rayyan.

In the late 19:15pm kick off at Qatar Sports Club second placed Lekhwiya will be looking to maintain their 8 game winning streak when they face Al Sailiya. Djamel Belmadi could give a debut to new striker Alain Dioko, who signed for the Red Knights on transfer deadline day.

Sami Trabelsi’s Sailiya will be doing all they can to frustrate the current QSL champions. Last time out Sailiya grabbed a 3-1 win against bottom club Meisameer. The Peregrines will be looking to new striker Carlos Preciado to grab a first goal for his new side.

Al Gharafa will take on rivals Al Arabi in the round 17 QSL match of the week. This Kicks off at 19:15 at Gharafa stadium.

 Gharafa coach Pedro Caixinia has galvanized his squad in recent weeks, and under the Portuguese tacticians stewardship Gharafa have remained unbeaten. Whilst the signings of Vladimir Weiss, Krisztián Németh and Thamer Jamel look like good additions  for a side that have been lacking goals.

Whilst for Al Arabi, they have also made some changes in the transfer window. Gianfranco Zola’s side has brought in two international players to their side. Brazilian striker Alain Souza has come in for compatriot Junior Dutra and Iranian international Javad Nekounam has replaced French defender Rod Fani.
