Fridays QSL action will focus on four teams looking to maintain their 100% record by the end of round two.

Al Rayyan take on Umm Salal in the early 17:50 KO at Al Sadd stadium. The Lions will be looking to round 1 hat-trick Rodrigo Tabata for inspiration, against an Umm Salal. Head coach Jorge Fossati will be expecting nothing more than three points from his side, who last season registered a record breaking 11 wins from the start of the season to claim the QSL falcon shield.

Likewise Umm Salal will be looking to pull off an early season shock against the defending champions. Summer signings Alef and Tha'er Bawab looked lively in the 2-1 opening day victory over A Khor and head coach Bülent Uygun will be hoping for more of the same from his new recruits.

The later 20:00 KO is at the same stadium and will be between Al Sadd and Al Ahli. The Wolves laid down a marker for the rest of the season with their comprehensive 4-0 win over Al Kharaitiyat. Algerian attacker Bagdad Bounjah will be hopeful to replicate the same form, which saw him grab a brace in the opening tie against Kharaitiyat.

As for Al Ahli, they put on one of the performances of the round last time out, taking apart a highly fancied Al Gharafa side 4-2 on the break. Head coach Luka Bonačić will be counting on the attack of Firmin Mubele and Qatar international Meshal Abdulla, who both had a say in all of Ahli’s goals on the night and linking up to devastating effect in the opening game of the season.
It certainly promises to be a blockbuster Friday of football when four unbeaten sides come together in the second round of QSL action.
