Undefeated Umm Salal will take on manageress Al Shahania in the only game of QSL football on Friday evening.
Bülent Uygun’s side has yet to lose a game this season, and will be looking to maintain their form against the newly promoted side. Last time out they managed an impressive 0-0 draw with Al Rayyan and The Orange Fortress will be targeting three points in this match.
Summer signing Anderson Martins has enjoyed a solid start to his career at Umm Salal and has struck up a partnership with Jawad Ahnash and will be expected to put in another solid performance against Al Shahania in the center of defense.
As for the visitors they have been rocked over the international break by the departure of head coach Fathi Al-Jabal who has decided to leave the club due to personal reasons. Reserve team coach Zenando is expected to take charge of the side for this match.
Prior to Al-Jabal’s departure the Oryxes registered their first win of the season over fellow promoted side Muaither. A Mohamed Tiaïba goal was enough to register the points, in what will be a long hard season for Shahania.
Striker Fahad Khalfan looked lively against Muaither last time out, and will be looking to bag his first goal of the season. The young striker returned to Shahania for his second consecutive loan stint from Al Rayyan and will be hoping to make his mark against Umm Salal.
