Round 25 of the QSL comes to an end with three games featuring sides who are embroiled in a relegation dogfight. With only two more rounds left to go all six sides will fight for the maximum number of points. All three matches will kick off at 18:20 to ensure fair play.

The spotlight match for this week will feature Al Khor and Al Shahania in a battle to avoid relegation at the Al Khor Stadium. Both sides are coming off of big wins in round 24 and will be high on confidence ahead of the big game. Jean Fernandez’s side are just above Al Shahania in eleventh place with twenty-four points. Igor Stimac’s side are desperate for the win as a loss will certainly end their stay in the QSL.

Al Wakrah will welcome in-form Umm Salal at the Al Wakrah stadium. The Blue Waves are at the bottom of the table and have confirmed their relegation. Kais Yaqoubi’s side will be looking to end their disappointing season on a happy note by providing a positive performance. Umm Salal are on a fantastic run of form as they are on a seven-match unbeaten streak. Mahmoud Jaber will like his side to build on their win against Al Gharafa in round 24 with another three points.

Seventh-placed Al Kharaitiyat will take on relegated Muaither at the Al Gharafa stadium.  Kharaitiyat have turned their season around under the guidance of head coach Ahmed Al Ajlani, who has lead the Thunders to thirteen points from their last six games. Muaither, on the other hand, are already relegated after a string of disappointing results. They will be looking for a consolation win to end their season in the best possible way.
