The QSL have announced that this year’s Qatar Cup will take place at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium, home of QSL side Al Sadd. The end of year tournament will take place for the third time since rebranding from the heir apparent cup.<br />

The tournament will start with the semi-final matches played on the <strong>24<sup>th</sup> of April</strong>. The winners of which will play in the showpiece final on the <strong>29<sup>th</sup> of April</strong>.<br />

The format of the competition will see the top for sides battle it out to lift the Qatar Cup trophy. The 1<sup>st</sup> place side (Al Rayyan) will take on the 4<sup>th</sup> placed team in the first semi-final, whilst the 2<sup>nd</sup> & 3<sup>rd</sup> teams will play in the second semi-final.<br />

Lekhwiya ran out as winners for the last Qatar Cup, defeating bitter rivals El Jaish 1-0. The QSL will be making an announcement in regards to ticketing for the tournament in due course.
