
The 21 year old attacker has represented Lekhwiya a total of 25 times this season, and went on to lift their fifth ever QSL falcon shield in the process. Utilized on the wing, or even in a striking role Ali has made a big impact for the Red Knights scoring 8 goals, and providing 8 assists for his team-mates.
The Qatar U23 international has been called up by the full national team on a number of occasions this season, and has even made a few substitute appearances. Ali’s passing stats are some of the best for a player his age in the QSL, with a 80.5% accuracy average. Whilst A 49% shooting accuracy is another encouraging statistic from the youngster who represented Qatar at the 2014 U-19 Asian cup in Myanmar, which the Maroons won.
Ali has bags of pace, and the youngster clocks up an average of 6.9km per game along with 231m of sprinting one of the higest in the QSL. So after a breakout season can Ali scoop the coveted best U23 player at the QFA awards? All will be revealed on May the 20th at the QNCC.
