The Qatar Stars League management (QSLM) held a mid-season review at the Marriott Hotel last Thursday afternoon, which comes in the wake of the end of the first half of the Qatar Stars League season. The event recalled the most important achievements of the League and talked about the positives and negatives so far.
The celebration was attended by Mansour Ansari Secretary General of Qatar Football Association, Khalifa Al-Haroon Director of Communication & Marketing, Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari the Events Director, Abdullah Al Hammadi the Director of Corporate Support, Mohamed Ahmed Director of the Professional Players Affairs, Nasser Al Muslimani Director of Human Resources in addition to the remainder of the QSLM.
The event was conducted by Nasser Al Muslimani and Mooza Al Naimi Graphic design specialist, the two hosts spoke about the work done by the organization, and helped to explain the goals that have been achieved in addition to the goals that the organization is trying to achieve by the end of the season.
The event started with some team building exercises that got people to speak honestly about their feelings towards the QSL and how it can be improved.
The mid-season talk was an effort to renew and motivate the QSL staff for the second half of the season as there was a big pause in the league campaign due to the national team’s participation in the AFC Asian Cup hosted in Australia which took place from 9-31 of January.
The day finished with a motivational speaker who hailed from South Africa but served in Her Majesty’s forces as a field medic. The gist of the talk was about how he personally overcame the adversity of an IED related injury and yet managed to go on to lead a fulfilling life as an adventurer despite his disability (above the knee leg amputee).
Awards
In the third part of the day, distinguished employees were honored as part of the “your influence is important" initiative. The President's Award went to Badr Al Mansouri – Procurement Specialist - in recognition of his great efforts. Also Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari and Abdulla Al Hammadi were honored, on the occasion of finalizing their master’s degree.
In addition Mansour Al-Ansari was honored for his hard work during his time at the QSL as he will shortly be assuming his new office as Secretary-General of the Qatar Football Association.
Mansour Ansari thanked the Qatar Stars League Management and said, "We will continue to support the one and our united football system, QFA enacts laws, whilst the QSL organizers the League. The two football entities have the same overall goal which is to develop the national teams of Qatar."
Al-Ansari expressed his happiness and sadness after this honoring. He explained that he was happy because of his new positing, whilst his sadness was due to leaving the QSL. He stressed the fact that he will always support the QSL to achieve their goals.
The Qatar Stars League management organizes 3 events throughout the season in order to meet with employees, and try to help them to achieve the goals the organization has stated for itself, as well as to foster a spirit of teamwork.
