The GOALZ Programme, which is the only high quality football coaching initiative which is integrated into schools across the county for free courtesy of the Qatar Stars League, will hold its first end of term football festival this weekend. 

The event showcases the schools who have taken part in the six week programme and allows the children to use what they have learnt in a fun tournament environment.

There will be two football festivals this weekend which coincide with Round 9 of the Qatar Stars League.  It will be a fun and exciting occasion with the first festival set to take place this Friday at Al Gharafa Sports Club outdoor training pitches for Classes 1,2 3 & 4.

After the GOALZ Football Festival the children will be invited to watch the Round 9 Qatar Stars League clash between Umm Salal and Al Ahli which kicks off at 4pm. At half time the children will be invited onto the pitch by club officials and will be presented with medals for taking part in the tournament.

The second festival will follow a day later and will be held at Al Arabi Sports Club where once again the children (from classes 5 & 6) will be invited to watch the Round 9 clash between El Jaish and Al Arabi which kicks off at 4pm.

The GOALZ Programme was designed to engage children of all ages in football as well as educate them about being active and staying healthy.  At the same time, the GOALZ Programme also ensures that children around the country learn about the Qatar Stars League and its 14 top division football clubs.
