Qatar Stars League CEO Mr. Hani Ballan congratulated Lekhwiya Football Club on winning the 2015 Qatar Stars League title for the fourth time in the club’s history.

Mr. Hani Ballan congratulated Lekhwiya, the club’s fans and praised the huge efforts exerted by the team’s players, stars, as well as both the technical staff and officials.

The Qatar Stars League CEO said that Lekhwiya deserved to win the league title following the results and levels of performance demonstrated by the team during the season despite the obstacles and problems faced by the team as well as stern competition from Al Sadd.

He added: “Perhaps the absence of five crucial players from Lekhwiya first team in yesterday’s match against Al Ahli was one of many obstacles that the champions faced and were able to overcome.”

Mr. Hani Ballan pointed out to the fact that the competition between all teams this season was tough and said: “The proof of who tough the season was is that the league title was only settled in the second last round between Lekhwiya and Al-Sadd, whilst the relegation struggle is still on and not settled yet.”

Finally Mr. Hani Ballan wished all the best for all the new teams who will be coming up next season in order to contribute to the development of Qatari football and the Qatar Stars League.
