Struggling Qatar Sports Club is hoping team spirit can lift the gloom at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday when Coach Sebastiao Lazaroni's side hosts El Jaish.

After conceding 14 goals in their last two games, 13th-placed Qatar SC are under immense pressure to beat relegation fears after 10 games in QSL this season.

"We have had extensive talks with the team and we have told the players that we want them to play easy. We are not expecting a big performance from them. What we ask is that they have a passing game, help each other and show team spirit," coach Lazaroni said on Thursday.

"We have been talking with the players and asking them what they think is going wrong. We are in a bad situation and we need to find out why," Lazaroni said.

"I asked each and every player their view on this. We found that there were small points which caused the bad results - individual performances, mentality and the lack of team spirit. We were not working as a team. Some of the players were lacking confidence and were also taking risks when not needed," the Brazilian added.

"We need to find the flame inside us which will help us go out and do well on the pitch. We can lose or win or draw but how we play the game is very important. We are trying to protect the players and giving them belief to react on the pitch," Lazaroni said.

"El Jaish will be a tough match, one of the biggest teams in the league. We will have to give it all," the coach said.

"During training we have been focusing on the physical, the tactical and also on the ability of the players to perform under pressure. Because there will be lots of pressure in this match. The main this is to play collectively and play like a team," Lazaroni explained.

Qatar SC said there were no easy solutions to his side's dismal form. "The solution will not come from the sky. We have to work together to get out of this situation. It's a difficult time. But I have come with the intention to find a solution for that. Together with the management, the technical staff and the players we are working towards getting better," Lazaroni said.

El Jaish coach Sabri Lamouchi said his team needs to up the ante following last week's loss to Al Rayyan.

"We are coming from a defeat against Al Rayyan, a loss that all the players were disappointed about. We have to come back to winning ways. So we will have to play this game with a lot of concentration,"
Lamouchi said.

"We can't go into this game thinking that we will score nine goals or five goals. If we go in with this mentality then the game will be difficult for us. It will become a trap. We are playing against a team who want to react, want to defend their dignity. We have to respect our opponents. But we are playing to win this game," Lamouchi said.

El Jaish are behind points leaders Al Rayyan and ahead of Al Sadd."I have told my players that if we play all games like we did against Al Rayyan then we won't lose too many games. We need to play with confidence, enthusiasm and vigor," Lamouchi said.

"It won't be an easy game like everybody is expecting. Our opponents are not happy conceding 14 goals in two games. Our players need to start this game with determination, concentration and only with a good performance can we take three points," he added.

"The pressure is more on Al Rayyan. They have won 10 out of 10. Now teams are trying to take one point off Al Rayyan, not necessarily trying to beat them. That will put a lot of pressure on them,"
Lamouchi said.

When asked about the injury to Brazilian defender Lucas Mendes, Lamouchi said: "When you have problems, you have solutions too. We just have to choose the best one."

The game kicks off on Saturday the 5th of Decemeber at 16:00 at Qatar Sports Club.
