Al Sailiya take on El Jaish in round six of the QSL. The match will take place at the Al Ahli stadium on Wednesday evening.

Struggling Sailiya only have two points from five games and languish second to last in the table. They will be looking to turn their fortunes around by causing an upset against El Jaish.

Sami Trabelsi, head coach of Sailiya spoke about the recent form of his team, “Sailiya is having a bad time regarding the results. El Jaish is one of the best three teams in the league. We have to give a good performance much better than the last game. We have to stay focused and for us anything is possible.”

Speaking about the pressure his team is facing, Trabelsi added, “I think the media feels the pressure more than us. We know we are in a bad position. There is some problem in the team. Some players are coming back after a long time some are not finding form. We are not able to win but if we didn’t make mistakes we could have drawn some games.”

“We can deal with all the games differently as each game is different.  We are waiting for our first win to get confidence in the team and we are waiting for some injured players to get back,” added the Tunisian head coach at the press conference on Tuesday.

El Jaish are in top form at the moment with thirteen points from five games and are second in the table level on points with rivals Lekhwiya. The Soldiers will be gunning for another win against an out of form opponent.

Juan Mark, assistant coach of El Jaish told the media that his team had very few days to prepare for the game, “We did not have a lot of days to prepare for this game as we played two days ago. We didn’t have a lot of training sessions because we focused on recovery.”

Speaking about his opponents Mark added, “We know it will be a difficult game and they will look to bounce back after the last game and for sure it will be a tough game for us”

“When you are a competitor and you want to be top of the league all the clubs want to beat you. We have to hold on and take each game one by one,” added the assistant coach.

“After the last game, we were satisfied. Even if we win, we think of how to make it better for next time. There are a lot of things we can improve and we have to minimize mistakes,” added the Frenchman.
