Al Sadd take on Al Ahli in round two of the QSL this Friday at the Al Sadd stadium. Both sides won their opening matches and this match has potential to be a high scoring encounter.
Al Sadd started of the league by scoring four goals in their opening game against Kharaitiyat. They will be looking to continue this goal scoring form against Ahli.

Jesualdo Ferreira the head coach of Al Sadd is satisfied with his team’s preparation ahead of the game, “Our preparation was normal as all the games. We didn’t play for two months before the first game that’s why this week our preparation was depending on the recovery of the players who played ninety minutes and studying our opponents.”

Ferreira was full of praise for  Firmin Mubele, Al Ahli’s Congolese sensation, “Mubele, who scored in the last game had a very good performance. He is a good factor in the counter attack because he is fast. We concentrated our training on the offensive line of Al Ahli because they scored four similar goals in their last match.”

“Jugurtha Hamroun did well in the first game. It is new atmosphere for him in Qatar. He did a good job and he needs time to adapt,” added the Portuguese tactician speaking about his new Algerian winger.


 
Al Ahli started of strong in the league with a big win against Al Gharafa. The Brigadiers seem to have settled well with their new coach following the departure of Yousef Adam.

Luca Bonacic, Al Ahli’s head coach spoke highly of his team’s performance in the last game match, “Before the kick off in the first game my players were feeling pressure but now after the game my team and I are feeling confident. All we have to do is play with the same team effort and we have to work hard to get the three points from Al Sadd.”

Speaking about changes in his squad Bonacic added,”Amer Al Dossary the goal keeper will miss the game because of injury. I will give a debut to Saeed Adnan, he has joined us because of the injury to Muntazeri.”

“In Al Ahli we respect all the teams and we will force all the teams to will respect us. We can’t promise to win the league but we can expect a stronger performance than the last season,” added the Croatian tactician.

The head coach also praised his DR Congo star, “Mubele is important to the team and we depend on him. He has a fantastic chemistry with Meshaal Abdullah and just like Al Sadd knows us, we know them and we know their strength and their weakness.”
