“The the strength is not balanced between the two teams in the next game. Al Ahli game was a very good game and we will go for this game with all that we have got,” added the Frenchman at the press conference on Tuesday.

Fernandez stressed that the squad is in good spirits and have the potential to cause an upset after observing them in training, “In the last training we had a good atmosphere and players had a good mentality so I think this will be a good game.”

Lekhwiya are undefeated in the QSL and lead the way with thirteen points from five games. The Cops will look to continue their winning form against Al Khor.

Djamel Belmadi, the head coach of Lekhwiya had this to say about his opponents; “Tomorrow we play against Al Khor in Al Khor. They are a good team with a good coach. They play in a way which is very dangerous for other teams. They play with strength and playing in Al Khor is always difficult but we will go there for the three points.”

Speaking about his side’s ambition Belmadi added, “Of course there is ambition in our team. I am sure Al Khor has analysed our team, our strengths and weaknesses and they will try their best to beat us.”

“This season we could have had two more points but due to some penalties for the other team we lost those points. We had a great performance against Al Arabi but at the end of the day it will not change our results and it will not change the way we play. I just want to credit the players for their performance against Arabi and I hope they can continue the same sort of performances throughout the season,” added he Algerian head coach.
