Umm Salal are currently in fifth place in the QSL standings with nine points from their opening six games. The Orange Fortress will be aiming for the three points against a struggling opponent.

Bulent Uygun, the head coach of Umm Salal is satisfied with his team’s performance so far, “We played the last game against Al Kharaitiyat and we won and the points gave a good morale boost to the players. We had good training during the break. We have a tough match against Al Ahli and we will try to get the three points against them.”

“Some players didn’t train with us because of injuries and the others trained very hard. We used the break in a positive way and improved our team,” added the Turkish tactician at the press conference on Wednesday.

Uygun believes that the mentality of the team is important to ensure victories, “With confidence and ambition we can achieve everything and that’s why we will aim to win like we did against Kharaitiyat.”
