Al Ahli Sports Club yesterday 16th November handed over a cheque to Principal Mr. Mr. Acosta of the Philippine School Doha. The money was raised during the round 10 fixture between Al Ahli and Umm Salal.
The total money raised was QR 114,000 during a match where the QSL’s all-time attendance record was broken. The money will go to help build new facilities at the Doha based school.
The donation was handed over at the club’s headquarters where the Philippine Ambassador Mr. Crescente R Relacion was also in attendance.
The Filipino community has a long and strong relationship to Al Ahli club and Mr. Relacion said, “As we all can see, football can change lives for the better. My appreciation goes out to the QSL especially Mr. Hassan Al-Kuwari the Head of General Events for the QSL and of course the CEO of the Qatar Stars League, Mr. Hani Balan.”
