Rodrigo Tabata was today awarded the QSL’s October Player of the Month Award at Al Rayyan’s training pitches. 

Tabata’s average performance rating was 93.6 – the highest in the league for the month of October. Tabata also showed good performances in in September as he has consistently been one of their best performers. 

Coincidently the Brazilian was given the award for best Player of the Month last October also, consistency personified!

The attacking midfielder picked up the award after four impressive displays last month in Rounds 4, 5, 6 and 7 where he scored three goals and gave three important assists.

Tabata scored one goal against Al Khor in Round 5, he struck early in just the second minute, then in the big derby versus Al Arabi he bagged two penalties on either side of the break as the Lions produced an emphatic 5-2.

He also gave three vital assists meaning that all in all Tabata was involved in six of his team’s goals in the month of October.

Technical analysis
Playing in an advanced position, the attacking midfielder averaged 48 passes with 37.5 successful completions. 
 
In addition the playmaker on average passed the ball into the final third 10.3 times per game. He also passed the ball into the penalty area 11.3 times per game. This shows just how involved Tabata is in Rayyan’s attacks.


Apart from his general attacking play with his trademark through-balls, he also had 2.8 shots per game in the month of October – high for an attacking midfielder.

Physical analysis
Tabata had strong physical indicators with an average sprint distance of 323 metres per game and an impressive 30.9 second recovery time compared with the QSL average recovery time of 46.9 seconds.

The Prozone data also indicates that the number ten also had an above average High Intensity Distance of 1283 metres.
