Al Sadd head coach Hussein Amotta was presented with the QSL’s October coach of the month award at Al Sadd stadium today.

In the month of October the Moroccan tactician oversaw an incredible run of games that put them top of the QSL table.

During a challenging QSL fixture schedule, Amotta’s men played five rounds in just one month. The QSL is headed for a long break to make way for the Gulf Cup later this month. The event will take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (13th – 26th November).

In round 6 they beat Lekhwiya with a comfortable 3-0 win, and then in round 7 they overcame Al Ahli (2-1).  Round 8 however was a slightly trickier affair as Al Sadd could only manage a draw with the Peregrines (1-1).

But wins in rounds 9 against Qatar Sports Club (3-1) and then a dominant display against Al Khor (4-1) made sure that the Wolves began to pull away from the chasing pack. They now have a 3 point cushion at the top of the standings.

The wolves dominated this month’s statistics in:

Pass distribution statistics
Possession (on average) 603 touches
Successful Passes (on average) 408
Short Passes (on average) 178
Passes Forward (on average) 198
Successful One Touch Passes (on average) 121
