Lusail SC claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Al Markhiya in Round 1 of 2026-2027 season QSL Cup at Al Gharafa club’s Thani Bin Jassim Stadium on Monday.

Georg Stojanovski struck the decisive goal in the 54th minute as Lusail secured a hard-fought victory and three valuable points.

Lusail came into the encounter on the back of encouraging performances in Doha Bank Stars League and carried that momentum into the match, producing a disciplined display to claim a positive result.

The victory gives Lusail an ideal start to their campaign and will further boost their confidence and ambitions in the competition.
