Al Rayyan coach Artur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 13 match against Al Shamal.

“We understand the importance of this match after what happened in the first leg. Al Shamal are one of the best teams and are competing for the league title, so this is a crucial match to recover the three points we lost in the first leg.

“We are ready for this match and have prepared thoroughly. With enthusiasm and focus, we must secure the three points. We do not accept the word ‘pressure’ especially since we know the role required of us.

“The responsibility is greater on the team, and every match and every three points have an impact. We need to win to maintain our lead over Al Shamal,” said Artur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Mohammed Siraj said, “Regarding the first-leg match, we had a chance to win, but due to the red card and the circumstances of the match, we lost. Therefore, we have been waiting for this match for some time to make amends and secure the three points.”
