Al Arabi coach Yeray Rodriguez spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 6 match against Al Sailiya.

“Taking over the team is a huge responsibility, but I accept it with confidence and determination to put the team back on track. Facing Al Sailiya is a major challenge that we must overcome.

“This is not just a personal opportunity, but a challenge. I believe I am ready for it. I know this club inside and out, I know the players and I know what the jersey represents to the fans. We are starting a new chapter and facing Al Sailiya is the first step.

“Previous results do not reflect the whole truth. There is a great effort in training and high technical capabilities in the team. My task now is to organize thoughts, restore confidence and translate these efforts into results,” said Yeray Rodriguez.

Al Arabi player Rodri Sanchez said, “Al Sailiya match will be a turning point for the team. Change is part of football, but what is always important is what happens on the field.

“Al Sailiya are an organized team and will fight to win, but we are going into the match to win. We have a greater motivation than just points. We want to show that we are ready and prepared to deliver a strong performance that will put us back in the competition.”
