Al Rayyan coach Arthur Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Ahli.

“The preparations for this match are the same as we have been since the beginning of the season. We performed exceptionally well in the last match against Qatar SC and I am happy with the work the players have done. The result certainly was not what we had hoped for. We had eight days to prepare for the Al Ahli match. Everyone worked brilliantly and the enthusiasm is still very high. We prepared for this match with one goal in mind: to win.

“Al Ahli are one of the good teams in the league. We respect them a lot. We know they have great motivation after their victory in the last round and we must be wary of them due to the morale boost they gained from their last win. Our focus is on ourselves. We know what we need and the players know what the coach needs from them. We have a lot of work to do to achieve victory. We will fight for the three points and give our best to achieve victory and provide an enjoyable performance for the fans,” said Arthur Jorge.

Al Rayyan player Ahmed Al Menhali said, “The players are ready to face Al Ahli in the Doha Bank Stars League. Everyone watched our match against Qatar SC. We had possession and were close to winning, but the result did not satisfy the players, coach and fans. Therefore, we are learning from our mistakes to avoid repeating them in the future. We have an important match against Al Ahli in which we seek to win the three points.”
