Al Sadd coach Felix Sanchez spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Wakrah.

“For us, this is an important opportunity, especially after our recent league loss, to come back strongly and put in a great performance against a strong team. Our players are motivated after the AFC Champions League match. Now they want to return to the league. We know that every league match is difficult, but we are confident in our ability to perform well against Al Wakrah.

“In each season, we have to adapt to different tournaments and move quickly from one competition to another. The key is to regain physical fitness after the effort, then refocus on the league, because collecting points always remains the priority,” said Sanchez.

Al Sadd player Giovani Henrique said, “We want to win the league title again this year. We know how difficult it is. Every match feels like a final. Al Wakrah are a strong team with distinguished players, but we also have great players here at Al Sadd. I have confidence in myself, my teammates and our ability to win this match.”
