Qatar’s Al Ahli and Al Khaldiya of Bahrain played out an entertaining goalless draw in their opening 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Two Group B match at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha on Wednesday.

Opening exchanges saw Al Ahli on the attack with Abdelrahman Moustafa’s curling effort saved by Ricardo Manuel in the ninth minute before Julian Draxler fired over after being put through on goal.

Late in the second half, Al Khaldiya came close to scoring when Ayoud Elamloud’s cross from the right flank found its way to Badar Bashir who was thwarted by a finger-tip Marwan Sherif save as the teams settled for a point.
