Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Al Duhail.

“I am optimistic about my team’s ability to put in a strong performance in its upcoming match against Al Duhail in the second round of Doha Bank Stars League.

“We are working very well and the preparation for this match this week has been good. I have great confidence in the players and I am certain that we will play a very good match.

“We know that we will be facing a very good team, but what is more important to me is that we think about ourselves and give the required performance during this match,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Ayoub Assal said, “The team has been improving every day since the training camp and I hope we can translate this effort on the field.

“We know that the match will be difficult and will not be easy, but we have great confidence in ourselves, so we will give 100 per cent to secure the three points.”
