Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Al Sailiya.

“We have a clear goal, which is to take each match as it comes, so we must fully focus on our next match against Al Sailiya. We are certainly happy after defeating defending champions Al Sadd, but we now need to focus on our match against Al Sailiya.

“It will be a completely different match, perhaps just as difficult or even more so. We must maintain a positive mentality and approach the match with determination and seriousness.

“The victory over Al Sadd is good, but it must be emphasized that the team is still in the building phase and continuing to work. I reiterate the need to take league matches step by step. What was achieved against Al Sadd was just three points. We must maintain our focus and prepare in the best possible way for the next match,” said Lopez.

Qatar SC player Nasser Bair said, “I am happy with the victory in the first round of Doha Bank Stars League against Al Sadd and I consider it an incentive to continue progressing in the league.”
