Umm Salal coach Patrice Beaumelle spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 22 match against Al Arabi.

“The victory over Al Ahli in the previous round provided a significant morale boost for the team. I thank the players, management and all members of the technical, administrative and medical staff for their continued support.

“Our goal is to enter the Play-Off match with utmost focus and regain confidence through performance and results. The upcoming match against Al Arabi will be an important preparation and we will approach it with a high fighting spirit to provide additional motivation before the decisive match.

“The current situation does not satisfy anyone as this is not Umm Salal’s natural place. We have experienced some bumps, but we aspire to make a strong comeback in Play-Off match. I have complete confidence in the players’ abilities and I know they will do everything they can to survive,” said Beaumelle.

Umm Salal player Sayed Hassan said, “The team had been performing strongly in recent times, but luck was not on our side in some matches.

“We are also aiming to win against Al Arabi as an additional incentive before the Play-Off match against Al Markhiya. It is important that we enter the decisive match motivated by our victories.”
