Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 22 match against Al Shahania.

“The Al Shahania match will be part of the preparation for the two forthcoming tournaments. We have had a fantastic season and our focus will be on preparing for this match as well as our upcoming match in the 2025 Qatar Cup.

“The Al Shahania match will be an opportunity for some players who have not had many opportunities to participate in matches and to assess their physical condition. Hence, the importance and benefit of the match in preparing for what lies ahead. This does not mean we do not appreciate Al Shahania, who have had a fantastic season, but we must be prepared, especially since the timeframe is short,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Ayoub Al Alawi said, “Our preparations for the Al Shahania match are like preparations for any match and we are ready to give our best and end the season on a positive note.

“I thank the fans who supported the team in every situation, and I hope that all of us would perform at our best in the upcoming competitions.”
