Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 22 match against Al Gharafa.

“In the upcoming match against Al Gharafa, we will seek to finish the league with a win that will give us confidence and advance in the standings.

“We consider this match as the best preparation for Amir Cup. After this match, we will have a break and then we will prepare the team for the Amir Cup, where we will treat each match as a final.

“We will play with our best line-up, but we will make some substitutions to give more players chance,” said Murcia.

Al Shahania player Francesco Antonucci said, “It was a very difficult season, especially since we came from the second division and many expected us to return to the second division, but we proved otherwise.

“We are one family, helping each other, and we were able to stay in the league. We are entering the final match against Al Gharafa and our goal is to win and advance in the standings.”
